BALTIMORE, MD - The Johns Hopkins men's and women's crew team competed at the 42nd Annual Head of The Charles on Oct. 22. The Blue Jays other scheduled events - the Head of the Schuylkill and the Tapke Chase were cancelled due to the severe weather last weekend.
In the men's Collegiate Eight, Hopkins finished 48th out of 58 with a time of 16:55.215. The Western Rowing Club finished first with a time of 15:08.301. On the women's side, Hopkins finished 53rd out of 57 with a time of 20:02.007. Yale finished first with a time of 17:05.343.
Next up for the men's team is the Head of the Occoquan in Lorton, VA on November 4. The women's fall season is complete. The women's spring season begins with the Murphy Cup Regatta in Philadelphia on March 24.
