Philadelphia, PA - Three JHU men's boats and three women's boats competed at the Dad Vail Regatta as the Johns Hopkins crew teams concluded their season on Friday on the Schuylkill River.

The men's freshman/novice four placed fourth in its heat in 7:34.1, behind Tennessee-Chattanooga (7:06.5), Minnesota (7:12.4), and American (7:32.9). The JHU men's lightweight four also finished fourth in its heat, recording a time of 7:15.1. San Diego won the heat in 7:02.5, followed by Minnesota (7:07.9), Army (7:14.9), Notre Dame (7:28.3), and Brandeis (7:48.4).

The Blue Jays finished fifth in the men's pair in 8:47.4, behind Richard Stockton (7:46.4), Minnesota (7:53.7), Bowdoin (7:56.1), and Duquesne (8:03.8).

In women's action, Hopkins came in fifth in the varsity heavyweight four in 8:15.4, behind Pittsburgh (7:41.1), Duquesne (7:41.3), Buffalo (7:47.3), and Villanova (7:54.8). The JHU women's varsity heavyweight eight also placed fifth in its heat, finishing with a time of 7:27.9. Army won the heat in 6:40.4, followed by Purdue (6:47.4), West Virginia (6:47.9), and St. Thomas (7:11.5).

In the women's varsity heavyweight eight repechage, Hopkins finished fifth in 8:22.4. Connecticut took the heat in 7:31.6, followed by Temple (7:38.9), Drake (7:40.3), and Washington College (8:09.1).
