The Johns Hopkins crew teams had three men's boats and one women's boat compete at the Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Crew Championships on May 5.
The Blue Jays placed second in the men's 1x in 8:45, behind only St. John's, which won the race in 8:17. Hopkins finished fourth in the men's lightweight four in 7:20.4, as SUNY took the race in 7:09.5. Penn State came in second in 7:09.9, followed by William & Mary (7:15.8), Carnegie Mellon (7:18.2), Hopkins, and Pittsburgh (7:20.7).
The only other men's race that Hopkins competed in was the men's pair, in which the Blue Jays finished fifth out of six boats in 8:01.5. LaSalle won the race in 7:25.3 and was followed by Pittsburgh (7:30.7), Richard Stockton (7:44.1), Carnegie Mellon (7:54.8), Hopkins, and Susquehanna (8:26.5).
In women's action, the Blue Jays finished third in the women's varsity eight in 7:47.5. Mary Washington took the race in 7:28.0, while Richard Stockton placed second in 7:40.4.
