LORTON, VA - The Johns Hopkins men's and women's crew teams competed at the Mid-Atlantic Crew Championships in Lorton, VA last Sunday in preparation for the Dad Vail Regatta this weekend in Philadelphia, PA.

The women's crew team had a good showing, earning two first place finishes to go with a fifth place finish. The men's team took home second and fifth place finishes.

On the women's side, the Blue Jays started out with a fifth place finish in the Novice Four. That was followed by wins in the Varsity Four and the Pair. It was the second-straight win in the Pair for Hopkins. Racing in the pair for Head Coach Steve Perry were sophomore Michelle Zacharias (Cleveland, OH/Valley Forge) and senior Renee Egusa (Westport, CT/Staples).
