CAMDEN, NJ - The Johns Hopkins women's crew team competed at the Knecht Cup in Camden, NJ last Saturday. Due to the weather forecast for Sunday, the schedule was condensed to run the entire regatta on Saturday.

In the Novice Four, the Blue Jays placed sixth in their heat with a time of 9:24.70. In the Novice Four boat for Hopkins were Allison Carlstrom (Stafford, VA/Colonial Forge), Ue Jin Kim (Houston, TX/Stratford), Amelia Whitman (Galesville, MD), Madison West (New Britain, CT/Hotchkiss) and Courtney Cunningham (Holmdel, NJ/Holmdel).

In the Varisty Four, Hopkins finished second in its heat, finishing in 8:31.90. In the finals, the Blue Jays placed fifth with a time of 8:30.50. In the Varsity Four boat for the Jays were Rebecca Williamson (Burlington, Ontario/Hillfield Strathallan), Allison Hoy (East Amherst, NY/Williamsville North), Laura DeMare (West Bloomfield, MI/West Bloomfield), Katie Blumer (Stillwater, MN/Stillwater Area) and Helena Cortes (Scarsdale, NY/Scarsdale).

Hopkins returns to action on Saturday, April 21 at the Mother Son Regatta in Chestertown, MD.
