LANCASTER, PA - Johns Hopkins women's basketball senior forward Andrea Dodrill (Baltimore, MD/Bryn Mawr) was named to the All-Centennial women's basketball team as the league office announced its end of the year awards on Thursday. Dodrill earned Second Team All-Centennial honors after being an honorable mention selection last year. In addition junior Jenna Berninger (Center Valley, PA/Allentown Central Catholic) was named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll.

Dodrill started all 24 games for the Blue Jays at forward this year. She averaged 10.8 points per game and 10.1 rebounds per game, as one of only two players in the Centennial Conference to finish the season, averaging a double-double. Dodrill led the team in steals (45) and blocked shots (21). She set a career-high in nearly every offensive category, finishing the year with 260 points and 243 rebounds. Dodrill scored in double digits in 15 games and pulled down double digit rebounds in 12 contests. She scored a season-high 18 points twice, the first time against Notre Dame in January. Dodrill pulled down a career-high 19 rebounds in the season finale against Washington. She was named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week on January 28 after leading Hopkins to come from behind wins over McDaniel and Dickinson.

Dodrill finished her career ranked 18th in JHU history with 753 points and sixth in career rebounding with 652 boards. She was also 17th in free throws made with 153 and 12th in blocks with 51.

Berninger, a public health major has a 3.43 cumulative GPA. She played in 21 games for the Blue Jays making two starts. Berninger pulled down 44 rebounds and added seven blocked shots on the year.

Hopkins finished the season 12-12 and 10-8 in the Centennial Conference standings. The Blue Jays finished the regular season leading the Centennial Conference in rebounding margin at +8.5. Hopkins will lose Dodrill to graduation but returns Berninger and a core group of players next season.
