Burton Named Centennial Conference Player of the Week

LANCASTER, PA - Johns Hopkins women's basketball senior Lyndsay Burton has been named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. This is the second player of the week honor for Burton this season.

Burton led Hopkins to a 2-0 record last week with averages of 16.0 points and 11.5 rebounds per game while shooting 66.7 percent from the field as the Blue Jays secured their first conference regular season crown since the 2003-04 season.

The senior notched 22 points and 12 rebounds in JHU's 66-44 victory over McDaniel last Wednesday, before totaling 10 points and 11 boards in Hopkins 72-48 win at Ursinus on Saturday.

Burton is averaging team-highs of 14.6 points and 9.9 rebounds per contest for Hopkins this season.

The Blue Jays will close out their regular season at Franklin & Marshall on Wednesday, February 16 at 6 pm, before hosting the Centennial Conference tournament on February 26-27 in Goldfarb Gym.
