LANCASTER, PA – Johns Hopkins sophomore Lillian Scott was named the Centennial Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday. This is the first weekly honor for Scott.
Scott led the Blue Jays to an 84-83 overtime victory over Gettysburg with a career-high 37 points, two shy of the program single-game record. The sophomore scored 31 points after halftime after being held without a point in the second quarter, including the game-winning free throw in overtime. Scott shot 12-of-21 from the floor, knocked down 5-of-10 three-point attempts and converted 8-of-9 free throws against the Bullets. The Westfield, NJ, native also dished out six assists and made three steals in the lone game of the week for the Blue Jays.
Johns Hopkins sits at 8-7 in the Centennial Conference heading into its final five games of the season. The Blue Jays will be back in action Tuesday, February 7 at Franklin & Marshall at 7:30 p.m.
