Johns Hopkins to Induct 11 Into Athletic Hall of Fame

21st Class of Inductees to be Honored on April 25

Hopkins: In second season at Hopkins after transferring from Rowan • co-captain • will start at center • provides leadership by example with a tremendous work ethic • shows fierce determination • key rebounder on both ends of the floor • excellent finisher in the low post • great hands.

2001-02: Started all 27 games • led team in scoring (15.8), rebounding (7.8), and set JHU single-season record for field goal percentage (60.7) • First Team All-Centennial selection • scored in double figures in all but three games • averaged 20.4 points and 8.4 rebounds while shooting 63.4 percent (66-of-104) from the field over the final eight games • reached the 1,000-point mark for her career with 13 points against Franklin & Marshall on January 23 • averaged 20.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in two games to earn Most Valuable Players honors for the Blue Jay Invitational • recorded three double-doubles • scored 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds in 85-82 double overtime loss to Swarthmore on February 2 • scored a season-high 24 points and collected 12 rebounds in 62-42 win over Franklin & Marshall February 16 • totaled at least 21 points in each of the final six games • also competed on the track and field team • finished second to earn All-America honors at the NCAA Championships in the discus and javelin with throws of 157'6" and 151'11", respectively.

At Rowan: Played in 53 games in two season, making 41 starts • started every game in 2000-01 and guided the team to a 17-8 record • led the team in scoring (17.4), rebounding (8.4), and field goal percentage (66.0) • started 16 games in 1999-00 as Rowan went 24-4 and made the NCAA Final Four • finished fourth on the team in scoring (11.9), field goal percentage (52.3), and field goals made (149) • second on the team in rebounding (6.9) • was also a member of the track and field team • was the 2001 National Champion in the discus with a throw of (156'3") and third in the country in the javelin (140'10") • in 2000, she was the National Champion in the javelin with a throw of (146'8") and sixth in the nation in the discus (144'5").

Personal: In addition to basketball, also participated in softball, track and field, and cross country in high school • earned First Team All-State honors in softball and track and field at Milford High School • three-time state discus champion • was named All-Conference twice in basketball, once in softball, and three times in track • civil engineering major.
