NEW ORLEANS, LA - The Johns Hopkins men's cross country team placed two student-athletes on the USTFCCCA's All-Academic honor list for cross country. Senior Geoff Nunns and sophomore Steve Tobochnik each received recognition for their achievements in the fall. Both competed in the NCAA Mideast Regional on November 15.

To be considered for the award, the athlete must finish in the top 25 percent of their respective NCAA Regional and have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better.

Nunns led the Blue Jay pack at the regional, finishing in 26:24 to place 30th. Tobochnik ran a 27:18 to finish in 73rd place after fighting a nagging foot injury for the bulk of the season. JHU placed eighth as a team at the NCAA Mideast Regional.

The Centennial Conference tied the University Athletic Association for the most honorees with 13, the best by any NCAA Division III conference in the country.
