WILLIAMSBURG, VA - The Johns Hopkins men's cross country squad took fifth place behind four Division I teams and was the only Division III squad to compete at the Colonial Inter-Regional, hosted by William & Mary.

Junior David Sigmon finished in 47th for the Blue Jays (27:01) while senior Dan Pike ran a 27:15 race and finished within Hopkins' top seven for the first time this season.

Junior Graham Belton picked off several runners in the final two miles of the race, rising into Hopkins' top three from mid-pack.

Head coach Bobby Van Allen rested sophomore Steve Tobochnik, the top Hopkins finisher in two meets this season, who is tending to a hamstring ailment.

William & Mary won the men's 8k race with a score of 32 points, followed by Michigan State (39), Tennessee (71), and LaSalle (99). Hopkins finished fifth with 151 points, defeating Longwood (194), Howard (221) and Hampton (230).
