Johns Hopkins Places Second at NYU Invitational
Sept. 16, 2006 NEW YORK, NY - The Johns Hopkins men's cross country team led by junior Patrick Brandon's (Massapequa, NY/Massapequa) third place finish placed second of 35 teams at the NYU Invitational on Saturday.
New York University claimed the team title while Ricky Flynn from Lynchburg College took the individual title.
Brandon finished the course in a time of 27:00, good enough for third. The next Blue Jay to cross the line was freshman Noah Jampol (Waban, MA/Newton North) in 27:46, as he finished 14th. Jason Chiang (Torrance, CA/West) finished 20th in a time of 28:12 and James Bronson (Santa Ana, CA/Foothill) was 24th after finishing the course in 28:25.
Hopkins returns to action on September 23rd when the Blue Jays travel to Delaware to compete in the Wilmington College Invitational.
