Dec. 1, 2005

BALTIMORE, MD - The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) has announced the final Men's Division III National Collegiate Top 10 Poll and Johns Hopkins is #1.

The Blue Jays ended their season with a 24-6 overall record and did not lose to a Division III school in their 30 games. They won 17 games against Division I teams and lost their six games to Division I teams ranked in the national top 20 at some point of the season.

Johns Hopkins was also ranked seventh in the final CWPA Top 10 Poll but is currently unranked in the all-divisions poll. The Division I national championships are scheduled for Dec. 3 and 4.

Hopkins finished fifth at the Southern Division Championship after a first-round upset loss to Slippery Rock, eliminating them from an Eastern Championship and NCAA tournament berth.
