Singleton Named Eastern DIII MVP

BALTIMORE, MD - After winning the Division III Eastern Championship for the second year in a row and the tenth time in 15 years, Johns Hopkins placed three players on the Eastern All-Tournament Team and earned the MVP and Coach of the Year titles. Senior James Singleton was named the MVP and head coach Ted Bresnahan earned Coach of the Year honors, while Singleton and sophomore Mitch Williams were named to first-team all-tournament.
Hopkins won the tournament by defeating Connecticut College 15-4, Penn State Behrend 17-5, and MIT 13-8. Singleton scored a team-high three goals in the first game and added four in the third game, while Williams played in goal and made 11 saves in the title game.
