Bartnett, Van Allen Lead JHU Contingent on All-Centennial Squad
LANCASTER, PA - The Centennial Conference announced the 2016 All-CC Outdoor Track and Field honorees on Wednesday and Johns Hopkins was well represented. Junior Andrew Bartnett and head coach Bobby Van Allen led the way for the Blue Jays as a total of 14 JHU student-athletes were honored.
Bartnett was named the Conference's Outstanding Field Athlete after winning the pole vault and decathlon at the 2016 outdoor championship. Van Allen was named the Coach of the Year after guiding the Blue Jays to their third straight CC Outdoor Championship. In addition, junior Jesse Poore was named to the CC All-Sportsmanship Team.
Joining Bartnett in earning First Team All-Centennial honors are junior Daniel Camous (4x400), senior Devin Conley (high jump, long jump), freshman Rafael Ferguson (4x100), junior Ray Isales (4x100, 4x400), freshman Alex Mollick (4x100), freshman Grant Mosser (400 hurdles), Poore (4x100, 4x400) and freshman Dominic Yared (4x400).
Mosser (long jump) and Poore (400m) earned second team honors as well, along with sophomore Matt Fischetti (decathlon) and sophomore Alex Kossak (pole vault). In addition, Camous (400m), Conley (pole vault), Ferguson (100m), Mosser (110 hurdles) and Poore (200m) were named honorable mention. Also earning honorable mention accolades are sophomore Zach Jacobson (discus), sophomore Florian Pontani (400 hurdles) and freshman Scott Pourshalchi (1500m).
