COLLEGEVILLE, PA - After two days at the Centennial Conference track and field Championships, the Johns Hopkins men's track team sits in seventh place with 14.5 total points, just 4.5 points out of sixth place.

Junior Quinlan Amos and sophomore Ben Stopper each finished in the top five of the long jump and combined to give the Blue Jays 9.5 points. Amos took third with a leap of 21' 2.0", while Stopper finished tied for fifth with a mark of 19' 11.75".

The Blue Jays also scored three points in the 4x800 meter relay as the team finished sixth with a time of 8:31.50. Sophomore Eric Simone rounded out the scoring for JHU as he took seventh in the decathlon with 3,222 total points.

Hopkins will look to move up in the standings on Sunday, led by Amos, who has qualified for the finals in the 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash. Senior John Apperson has also qualified for the 800-meter finals with the sixth-best time of the prelims.
