LANCASTER, PA - Senior Max Robinson was named the Centennial Conference Track Athlete of the Week today in a release made by the conference offices after breaking his own Hopkins record in the 5000 meter run. The Rye, NY native topped his previous career best (14:33.23) in the event at the Penn Relays, on Thursday, April 25 finishing in 14:32.57.

Robinson continues an impressive stretch of Hopkins track athletes to be named Centennial AOTW this season, dethroning fellow senior Andrew Carey who has received the honor for the past three consecutive weeks. Freshman pole vaulter Andrew Bartnett has also received the honor twice this outdoor season as the Centennial Field Athlete of the Week.

Johns Hopkins will now turn its attention to the upcoming Centennial Conference Championships this coming weekend in Swarthmore, PA.
