LANCASTER, Pa. - Ryan Lino won the shot put for the Johns Hopkins men's track & field team at the Centennial Conference Championship in Lancaster, Pa. Sunday. Lino out-threw teammate Peter Li for just the second time this season in the shot put. Lino finished with a 14.38 meter mark. Li tossed 14.26 meters for second place in the conference.

Jacob Kramer finished third in the 110 meter hurdle finals in 15.69 and Jordan Litner placed sixth in the finals at 16.50. Kramer went on to take sixth in the 400 meter hurdles in 58.35.

James Walker earned eighth place in the 400 meter final at 51.91. Jonathan Walker placed sixth in the final of the 100 meter dash.

Elliott Wehner took third in the 800 meter final at 1:56.86.

Ted Heron led a group of four Blue Jays in the javelin, throwing 45.58 meters to finish in 11th place.

Senior Adam Waddell and freshman Matt Stankiewicz tied in the men's high jump at 1.76 meters.

Sophomore Derek Cheng led seven Blue Jays in the 1,500 meter, placing 11th in a time of 4:08.58.

Freshman Brian Rooney beat out junior Dave Sigmon in the 5,000 meter, placing 12th in a time of 15:19.41. Sigmon placed 14th at 15:35.11.

The Blue Jays finished in sixth place at the Centennial Conference Championship with 93 points. Haverford won the meet for the men and women. The men's team scored 170 points, followed by Dickinson (166), Muhlenberg (117), Gettysburg (104) and Ursinus (96). Behind JHU was Franklin & Marshall (47), Swarthmore (15) and McDaniel (10).
 

 

Senior Adam Waddell was named Co-Field Outstanding Performer of the meet along with Chaz Thomas from Haverford College.
