COLLEGEVILLE, PA - Johns Hopkins athletes competed in five events at the 2006 ECAC Indoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Ursinus College Friday and Saturday (March 3-4).

On the women's side, freshman Lauren Chun cleared a height of 10 feet (3.07 meters) to take seventh out of 14 in the pole vault event, while freshman Rachel Hogen completed the 3,000 meter run in 10:57.92, placing 13th out of 16.

For the men's group, sophomore Patrick Brandon completed the 3,000 meter run in 8:57.49, taking the seventh spot among 18 runners. The 4x8000 relay team of James Bronson, Aaron Landgraf, Jason Hortiatis and Joe Lefkowitz placed 10th, finishing in a time of 8:20.66. Freshman Matt Trachtenberg placed 11th in the pole vault, clearing a height of 13'11" (4.25 meters).

The ECAC Championships close out the 2005-06 Indoor Season for the Blue Jays. Hopkins will resume the track and field season on March 24th when the team competes at the Raleigh Relays, hosted by N.C. State, and the Battleground Relays, hosted by Mary Washington.
