Hopkins Finishes Sixth at the Centennial Conference Indoor Championships

HAVERFORD, PA - The Johns Hopkins men's track and field finished sixth at the Centennial Conference Indoor Championships on Sunday. Haverford captured the men's title as the Fords finished with 168 points. Ursinus and Dickinson rounded out the top three with 101 and 100 points respectively. The Blue Jays' 58 points were good for sixth place.
The 4x400 relay team of Jason Dubyoski, Jordan Litner, Christo Tait and James Walker finished third on Sunday, completing their run with a time of 3:31.05. Michael Palantoni finished fifth in the high jump with a final leap of 1.81m while Peter Li was fourth in the shot put with a 14.52m in the finals. Li set a new school record with his throw in the shot put. Dubyoski finished fourth in the 55-meter hurdles, crossing the line in a time of 8.18.
Tristan Thomas finished fourth in the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.70 while Walker was 12th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.70. Crossing the line with a time of 2:00.54 in the 800 meter run, placed James Bronson eighth in that event. The 4x800 relay team, composed of Eric Miller, Jeff Neal, Phil Aiken and Nate Sotuyo finished fifth with a time of 8:13.04.
Hopkins returns to action March 3rd and 4th at the ECAC Championships.
