COLLEGE PARK, MD - The Johns Hopkins men's and women's track team participated in the Indoor Terripan Invitational as hosted by the University of Maryland on Saturday in College Park. No team scoring was used, but the Blue Jays posted impressive finishes despite competing against a field comprised mainly of Division I teams.

Junior Garrett Butler (Ridfeley, WV/Franfort) posted the highest finish for any Hopkins competitor, as he finished in fourth place in the pole vault with a leap of 14’11.5", less than two feet from winning mark. For the women, freshman Jacci Clauss (Medford, NJ/Shawnee) finished in ninth place in the 3000 meter run with a time of 11:39.46, the highest finish for any JHU’s women’s competitor. Freshman Martha Paluch (Broad Brook, CT/Loomis Chaffee) finished in 11th place in the 3000 meter run, just behind Clauss, with a time of 12:14.60.
