Freshman Chanont Vasoontara defeated Washington College's Tim Riskie 6-4, 6-3 to win the singles championship at the 2005 Centennial Conference Individual Men's Tennis Championships. Vasoontara and Matthew Naftilan advanced to the title match in doubles, but lost 6-4, 6-3 to Riskie and Asfand Farouk.
Vasoontara finished the regular season 10-2 overall and 6-1 in the conference at singles to earn the top seed in the CC tournament. After receiving a bye in the first round, he won four straight matches including the title match over Riskie.
