BALTIMORE, MD - The #19 Johns Hopkins men's tennis team has earned a bye in the first round of the NCAA Tournament and will take on host TCNJ in the second. The Blue Jays and the Lions will meet at 10:00 am at the TCNJ Tennis complex on Saturday, May 3.

Hopkins is seeded second in the five-team regional behind #8 Williams (15-3). Christopher Newport and St. Joseph's (NY) will meet in the first round on Friday, May 2. The winner of that match will take on Williams in the second match on Saturday. The two winners from Saturday will meet on Sunday at noon for the right to move onto the quarterfinals at Bates College May 13-18. Hopkins and TCNJ have met just twice, with the series tied at 1-1. The Blue Jays won the last meeting 6-3 on April 22, 2007.

Hopkins enters the tournament on a 10-match win streak and posts a record of 17-5. The Blue Jays have won back-to-back Centennial Conference titles and are making their third straight appearance in the NCAAs. Last season, Hopkins advanced to the Sweet Sixteen before falling to Trinity (TX).
