Gu Named Centennial Conference Player of the Week

LANCASTER, PA – Johns Hopkins sophomore Austin Gu has been named the Centennial Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week it was announced Monday afternoon. Gu went 2-0 in singles and 1-0 in doubles in a 1-1 week for the Blue Jays.

Gu won 6-4, 6-2 at fourth singles in Hopkins’ 8-1 win at Salisbury on Saturday afternoon. The following day against Division I Morgan State, he and classmate Joe Cartledge won 8-6 at second doubles. He then came from behind to win 1-6, 6-2, 6-3 at first singles.

Hopkins is back in action on March 11 against Washington & Lee in Swarthmore, PA.
