The Johns Hopkins men's tennis team won its third straight match by posting a 7-0 shutout at McDaniel Friday afternoon.
The Blue Jays improved to 3-5 overall and 3-3 in the Centennial Conference with the win, while the Green Terror dropped to 1-6 overall and 0-5 in league play.
Senior Justin Chan (Mountain Lakes, NJ/Mountain Lakes) and junior Justin Belisario (Los Angeles, CA/Loyola) defeated Aaron Taylor Brian Kastner 8-1 at No. 1 doubles, while sophomore Krishna Potarazu (Potomac, MD/Wootton) and freshman Nick Kennedy (Tucson, AZ/Deerfield Academy) topped Scott Mahoney and Matt Wolfe 8-2 at No. 2. Sophomore Michael Kelly-Sell (Ann Arbor, MI/Pioneer) and senior Grant Roch (Cedarburg, WI/Cedarburg) posted an 8-3 victory over Josh Loar and Adam Scott at No. 3 doubles.
Chan defeated Taylor 6-3, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, while Belisario knocked off Mahoney 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2. Potarazu topped Kastner 6-2, 6-3 at No. 3, while Kelly-Sell defeated Loar 6-4, 6-1 at No. 4. Roch topped Scott 6-0, 6-2 at No. 5, while Kennedy shut out Wolfe 8-0 in a pro set at No. 6.
The Blue Jays travel to Dickinson Saturday at 1 p.m.
