The Johns Hopkins men's tennis team finished the weekend 2-0 by defeating Franklin and Marshall 5-0 on Sunday, two days after upsetting Washington College 4-3. The Blue Jays improved to 7-2 overall and 3-0 in the Centennial Conference.
Against the Diplomats, Chanont Vasoontara led the Blue Jays with wins at first singles and first doubles. He defeated Alex Chester 6-3, 6-2 and teamed with Matthew Naftilan for an 8-2 win at doubles. Nick Kennedy and Justin Belisario won 8-4 over Andrew Mayer and Bryan Pickington at second doubles, and Rafael Roberti and Michael Kelly-Sell won 8-2 over Joakin Steinbeck at third.
Kevin Ma defeated Alex Levy 6-3, 6-1 at second singles, while Roberti won 6-3, 7-6 at the third spot. The fourth through sixth singles did not finish.
The Blue Jays visit Gettysburg on April 5 at 3:30 p.m.
