Brad Howard returns for his fourth season on the Blue Jays' staff. He came to Johns Hopkins from the Carver Center for Arts & Technology. During the two years prior to coaching at Carver, Howard was a teaching professional at Bethesda Country Club for two years.
Howard coached the boys' and girls' tennis teams at Chapel Hill High School in North Carolina for three years and his boys' team won the North Carolina state title in 1997. He also taught at the Chapel Hill Tennis Club and the North Ridge Country Club. Howard began his coaching career as an assistant coach at Wood Valley Swim & Racquet Club in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Howard plays in several men's leagues in the Baltimore area and achieved a men's open Maryland ranking of 17th in 2004. He graduated from the University of North Carolina with majors in political science and journalism and received an M.B.A from Western Carolina University.
