The 2004-05 Johns Hopkins men's and women's swimming season produced 20 NCAA All-Americans and the Division III Coach of the Year, as the men's team finished third and the women placed 11th at the NCAA Championships.

Through the course of the year, two school records were broken, the Blue Jay men upset Division I Yale, and the women finished second at the Blue Grass Invitational, where one Hopkins swimmer set a meet record and seven Jays earned automatic berths in the NCAA Championship. The season was one to be proud of, adding to the tradition of success that defines the Johns Hopkins swimming program.

Qualifying and placing at this year's national championships were: J.P. Balfour, Matt Chana, Jessica Chang, Matt Fedderly, Allie Foster, Rich Guerard, Zane Hamilton, Tyler Harris, Katie Herbst, Ryan Kim, Sean Kim, Jon Kleinman, Erica Pakkala, Abiona Redwood, Kelly Robinson, Diana Smirnova, Brian Sneed, David Strickland, Bradley Test, and Kalei Walker.
