BALTIMORE, MD - Johns Hopkins senior Brad Test (Dresher, PA/Germantown Academy) has been named the Division III National Swimmer of the Week by CollegeSwimming.com. It is the second time in his career he has earned this honor. He is the third male swimmer at JHU to earn the honor this season, joining sophomore John Thomas (Montrose, CO/Montrose) and senior Matt Fedderly (Baltimore, MD/McDonogh).
Test won three events last Saturday in a tri-meet with North Carolina and Emory. #3 Johns Hopkins defeated #4 Emory 144-136. The Blue Jays then fell to the #14 Tar Heels 158-130. Hopkins is now 8-3 on the season, with all three of its losses coming to Division I schools. Test won the 50 Freestyle (20.95), the 100 Freestyle (45.95) and the 200 Freestyle (1:41.68).
Johns Hopkins is off until February 29 when the Blue Jays will participate in the ECAC Championships in Pittsburgh, PA. The championships will be held from February 29 to March 2.
