BALTIMORE, MD - The University of Baltimore County (UMBC) men's swimming team (10-0) edged Johns Hopkins (9-4) 136.5 to 105.5 to become the first team in the school's Division I history to finish a season undefeated. The Retriever women (8-3) also defeated the Blue Jays (5-6) 124-78 at UMBC Natatorium.

Hopkins' men's team opened the day with first-place and second-place finishes in the 400 medley relay. J.P. Balfour, Tyler Harris, Brian Sneed and Zane Hamilton came in at 3:30.34 while Ryan Kim, Matt Fedderly, Sean Kim and Bradley Test finished second in 3:31.84.

Fedderly (200 IM, 200 backstroke) and Test (50 free,100 free) led the Blue Jays with two more wins apiece, and Hopkins also received a first-place finish from Jon Kleinman in the 500 free. The Retrievers pulled ahead in the diving events, which Hopkins does not compete in.

In the women's events, Kelly Robinson won the 100 butterfly in 1:01.30, just ahead of UMBC's Jessica Prosen who finished in 1:01.32. The Blue Jays ended the day with a first-place finish in the 400 freestyle relay where Diana Smirnova, Kalei Walker, Abiona Redwood and Kelly Robinson finished in 3:43.96, more than five seconds ahead of UMBC's squad.
