Rosenberger Named Centennial Men's Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year
LANCASTER, PA – Johns Hopkins junior Cole Rosenberger has been named the Centennial Conference (CC) Men’s Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year it was announced recently. In addition, nine Blue Jays were named to the CC Academic Honor Roll with four of those earning Academic All-Centennial honors.
Hopkins has now produced 47 Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll selections under head coach Craig Appleby. Rosenberger is the second straight Blue Jay to be named CC Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
CC Scholar-Athletes of the Year are presented to a member of the junior or senior class on the All-Centennial team with the highest cumulative GPA. Rosenberger, who earned Honorable Mention All-CC honors, is majoring in environmental engineering and boasts a 3.94 cumulative GPA.
To earn Academic All-Centennial honors, a student-athlete must receive both all-conference academic honor roll honors. In addition to Rosenberger, seniors Bryan See (First Team All-CC) and Mike Swiercz (First Team All-CC) and sophomore Achim Younker (First Team All-CC) were named to the Academic All-Centennial Team.
Juniors Arden Chew, Gerrit Church and Jeremy Ratcliff and sophomores Zach Epstein and Brent Thomas were named to the CC Academic Honor Roll. To be nominated for the honor roll, a student must meet the following criteria: (a) a sophomore or higher in class standing; (b) cumulative GPA of 3.40 or higher.
