LANCASTER, PA - Johns Hopkins senior goaltender Ravi Gill (Morganville, NJ/Marlboro) has been named the Centennial Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. It is the third time in the last five weeks that he has been so honored.

Gill played 220 minutes in goal last week against 17th-ranked York and Franklin & Marshall, turning away 12 of 13 shots on goal. He made four saves in registering his ninth shutout of the year in the scoreless draw with the Spartans on Wednesday night. Gill then made a career-high eight saves in the 1-1 tie at Franklin & Marshall on Saturday.

Gill leads the Centennial Conference in goals against average (0.36) and save percentage (.910). Through games of October 18, he ranked 7th and 10th in the NCAA, respectively, in those categories. He has posted a 12-2-2 record on the season with nine shutouts.

Hopkins wraps up the regular season this week against Gettysburg on Wednesday and at Washington College Saturday. The Blue Jays will honor their seniors prior to Wednesday's game against the Bullets with game time slated for 4:00 pm.
