LANCASTER, PA – Johns Hopkins freshman RJ Moore has been named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in Hopkins’ 2-0-0 week. This is Moore’s first weekly honor and the fifth this season for the Blue Jays.
Moore totaled five points on two goals and an assist as Hopkins beat McDaniel, 2-0, on Wednesday and host Ursinus, 6-0, on Saturday. He had a hand in both of the Blue Jays’ goals in the win over the Terror as he scored the game-winner and later assisted on the second goal. He also scored in JHU’s win at Ursinus on Saturday.
Moore is tied for the team-lead in assists (&) and ranks third in points. He is also tied for second in the conference in assists and is tied for ninth in points. Moore’s seven assists are the most by a freshman in school history and are two shy of the Centennial Conference record.
Hopkins returns to action on Friday, October 27 as the Blue Jays host the Dickinson Red Devils. Game time at Homewood Field is slated for 7:00 pm.
