Blue Jays Jump Five Spots To No. 12 In NSCAA Poll Oct. 1, 2001 Mission, KS - The Johns Hopkins men's soccer improved five spots to No. 12 in this week's National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll. The Blue Jays have won six straight matches, all by shutouts, and are alone in first place in the Centennial Conference with a 5-0 record. Hopkins won all three of its matches last week, and defeated Muhlenberg, 2-0, Saturday night in Allentown. Matthew Doran (Stormville, NY/John Jay) leads JHU with 30 points on 10 goals and 10 assists, while Chad Tarabolous (Tulsa, OK/Cascia Hall) has six goals and two assists. Hopkins also improved to No. 2 in the Mid-Atlantic Region, jumping over Drew, which fell 1-0 to New York University last week. The Blue Jays host the Rangers on Saturday at 7 p.m. Messiah regained the top spot in the poll, and is also No. 1 in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
