Johns Hopkins Men's Soccer Team Falls To No. 17 In NSCAA Poll Sept. 24, 2001 Mission, KS - The Johns Hopkins men's soccer team fell to a tie for No. 17 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas Poll released Monday. The Blue Jays, who are 6-1 this season, went 3-1 since the last poll was released. Due to the national tragedies, no poll was released last week. Hopkins, which was No. 9 in the last poll, lost to Arcadia, 3-2, before rebounding with shutouts over conference opponents Swarthmore, Western Maryland, and Ursinus. Hopkins dropped to No. 3 in the Mid-Atlantic Region, behind Messiah and Drew. The Blue Jays host Drew in their next home game on October 6 at 7 p.m. Rowan took over the top spot in the national rankings from Messiah, which fell to the second spot despite not losing a match.
