LANCASTER, PA - Johns Hopkins sophomore keeper Nick Cerrone has been named the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon. It is his second career defensive player of the week honor.

Cerrone posted back-to-back shutouts last week in leading Johns Hopkins to wins over St. Mary's (3-0) and Haverford (2-0). He was not forced to make a save in the win over the Seahawks, but cleared several dangerous chances inside the box. He then made five stops in the Blue Jays' conference opener on Sunday as JHU shutout visiting Haverford. Cerrone posts a 0.58 goals against average with a .900 save percentage and three shutouts so far this season.

Hopkins is back in action on Wednesday, September 19 as the Blue Jays make the short trip to York, PA to take on the YCP Spartans. Game time for the non-conference tilt is slated for 4:00 pm at Graham Field.
