BALTIMORE, MD - The Johns Hopkins men's soccer team is ranked #9 in the first regular-season NSCAA/adidas Division III Poll of 2005, moving up two spots from the preseason rankings. The Blue Jays defeated Kings Point, 3-0, and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, 2-1, over the weekend to open their season with a 2-0 record.

In addition to the national rankings, Hopkins is #2 in the NSCAA/adidas Mid-Atlantic Region Poll with only the defending national champion, Messiah, ahead of them. Messiah is also #1 in the national poll.

The Blue Jays travel to St. Mary's College of Maryland tomorrow for a 3 p.m. game.
