Hopkins defeated Buffalo State, 6-0, on Saturday, as Ryan Kitzen (Massapequa Park, NY/Massapequa) scored two goals and Matthew Doran (Stormville, NY/John Jay) scored a goal and added two assists. On Sunday, Aerik Williams (Columbus, OH/Columbus Academy), Chad Tarabolous (Tulsa, OK/Cascia Hall), and Doran scored goals to led the Blue Jays to a 3-1 win over Virginia Wesleyan.
Defending champion Messiah remained in the top spot, followed by Rowan, which knocked the Blue Jays out of the 2000 NCAA Tournament. Linfield was No. 3, followed by Wisconsin-Oshkosh, Williams, Christopher Newport, St. Lawrence, John Carroll, Trinity, and Hopkins.
The Blue Jays, who are No. 2 in the Mid-Atlantic Region behind only Messiah, host King's College on Saturday at 4 p.m. at Homewood Field.
