BALTIMORE, MD – Johns Hopkins men’s soccer coach Craig Appleby announced today his 2011 recruiting class, which includes nine players from seven states. The following nine players will look to strengthen a squad that advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 for the third consecutive year in 2010. Hopkins begins practice next week and will open the season on September 3 versus Wesley at the Goucher Soccer Classic.

Coming to Homewood this fall are Matt Carey (Seaford, DE/Worcester Prep), Andrew Clayton (Chesapeake, VA/Hickory), Nicolas Cerrone (Summit, NJ/Delbarton), Kyle Fischer (Califon, NJ/Delbarton), Rob Heuler (Pittsburgh, PA/Bethel Park), Dylan Howie (Somers, NY/Somers), Kotaro Mitsuhashi (Bloomfield Hills, MI/Detroit Country Day), Mark Spencer (Homewood, IL/Homewood-Flossmoor) and Cameron Vit (Villanova, PA/Germantown Academy).
