Box Score

BALTIMORE, MD - Washington College's Brian Schultz scored in the 94th minute as the Shoremen stunned the 10th-ranked Johns Hopkins Blue Jays on senior night at Homewood Field Friday night. The Blue Jays conclude the regular season at 11-4-3 overall and 5-2-2 in the Centennial Conference. The Shoremen end their season at 5-11-0 and 3-6-0 in the conference. The loss snaps a 15-game win streak over the Shoremen.

Hopkins controlled much of the play, firing 21 total shots on Washington College goalie Chris Phipps. But the freshman came up with 14 saves before Schultz scored on a low shot to the left side of the goal to stun the Blue Jays.

Junior goalie Matt Mierley (Weston, FL/St. Thomas Aquinas) finished with five saves in the loss for Hopkins.

Hopkins returns to action with the 2008 Centennial Conference Tournament next week. The Blue Jays seed has yet to be determined. Stay tuned to www.HopkinsSports.com for more details.
