Box Score

BALTIMORE, MD - For the fourth consecutive meeting, the Johns Hopkins and Franklin & Marshall men's soccer teams played an overtime contest. Saturday afternoon's match-up ended in a scoreless draw as the ninth-ranked Blue Jays are now 11-2-3 overall and 5-0-2 in the Centennial Conference. The Diplomats are now 7-5-3 overall and 2-2-3 in the conference.

In a rain-soaked and windy affair at Homewood Field, chances for both teams were few and far between. Hopkins held the edge in shots through 110 minutes with 12 to Franklin & Marshall's three. Junior Matt Mierley (Weston, FL/St. Thomas Aquinas) was not credited with a save in posting his sixth shutout of the season and 10th of his career. For the Diplomats, Zach Zamek finished with four saves for his fourth shutout of the season.

Hopkins picked up a point in the Centennial Conference standings with the draw and clinched a spot in the conference playoffs for the eighth consecutive year. Hopkins returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 29 as it travels north to take on Gettysburg in a 7:00 pm Centennial Conference match-up.
