Carlisle, PA - Five different Blue Jays scored goals as the No. 11 Johns Hopkins men's soccer team improved to 13-2 and 7-0 in the Centennial Conference with a 5-0 shutout of Dickinson College Saturday afternoon.

Ryan Kitzen (Massapequa Park, NY/Massapequa) opened the scoring just 9:34 into the match when he scored an unassisted goal from 25 yards out. 17 minutes later, Paul Galli (Roslyn, NY/Herricks) took a pass from Matt Weill (Merrick, NY/Kellenberg Memorial) and beat Dickinson goalkeeper Michael Murphy from 16 yards out to give the Blue Jays a 2-0 lead.

Matthew Doran (Stormville, NY/John Jay) headed home a corner kick from Aerik Williams (Columbus, OH/Columbus Academy) less than three minutes later, and freshman Doug Pollack (Yardley, PA/Pennsbury) scored the third goal of his career when he found the back of the net from 18 yards out in the 37th minute.

Daniel Brienza (Farmingville, NY/Sachem) ended the scoring when he scored off an assist from David Walsh (Chatham, NJ/Chatham) in the 82nd minute. Gary Kane, Jr. (Lansdale, PA/LaSalle College) made three saves in 86 minutes of action in the victory.

The Blue Jays' win coupled with a loss by Franklin & Marshall Saturday puts Hopkins in sole possession of first place in the Centennial Conference. JHU will look to remain unbeaten in the league when the Blue Jays travel to Gettysburg on Wednesday for a 3:30 p.m. match.
