Bethlehem, PA - Sophomore forward Chad Tarabolous (Tulsa, OK/Cascia Hall) scored a goal and assisted on another to lead the No. 11 Johns Hopkins men's soccer team to its ninth consecutive victory, a 3-0 shutout of Moravian Saturday afternoon.

Tarabolous put the Blue Jays on the board just 9:29 into the match when he scored an unassisted goal, his eighth of the season. Hopkins retained its one goal lead until the 73rd minute, when senior midfielder Ryan Kitzen (Massapequa Park, NY/Massapequa) scored an unassisted goal by beating Moravian goalkeeper Ryan Sculley.

Senior forward Matthew Doran (Stormville, NY/John Jay) capped the scoring when he headed in a cross from Tarabolous. Doran now has a team-best 13 goals this season and has registered at least one point in all but one match.

Gary Kane, Jr. (Lansdale, PA/LaSalle College) made four saves to post his fourth shutout of the season. Of Hopkins' nine straight wins, eight have come by shutout, and the winning streak is the longest since the 1998 team opened the season 10-0. Moravian had its five-match win streak broken.

The Blue Jays' streak will be challenged on Wednesday when Hopkins travels to No. 17 Richard Stockton for an 8 p.m. match.
