The Short Story: The Johns Hopkins men's soccer team got a goal in each half in a 2-0 win over host Neumann Wednesday night. Senior Samy Ramadane had a hand in both Blue Jays' goals as they posted their seventh shutout of the season.
How it Happened
Senior Samy Ramadane put the Blue Jays ahead just before the half when he took a long pass from classmate Victor Osio and tapped a shot past Knights' goalie Dan Jones in the 45th minute.
Ramadane then assisted on Hopkins' second goal in the 51st minute. Junior Mike Swiercz got his first goal of the season when he banged home Ramadane's corner kick.
What it Means
Johns Hopkins is 8-1-0 all-time against Neumann and has won four straight in the series. The Blue Jays have outscored the Knights 21-7 in the series.
This is the Blue Jays' seventh shutout of the season, their most since 2013 when they finished with eight.
