Baltimore, MD - Blue Jay forwards Matthew Doran (Stormville, NY/John Jay) and Daniel Brienza (Farmingville, NY/Sachem) each scored a goal and added an assist as the Johns Hopkins men's soccer team used a late outburst to defeat Ursinus, 5-0, Saturday afternoon at Homewood Field.

Hopkins struck first in the 14th minute when Doran chested a ball to Brienza, who blasted a shot past Bears goalkeeper B.J. Callaghan. The Blue Jays carried the one-goal lead into the 74th minute, when they erupted for four goals in a four and a half minute span.

Ryan Kitzen (Massapequa Park, NY/Massapequa) started the barrage by knocking home a long ball from Rob Morrison (Malibu, CA/Loyola). Just 39 seconds later, Doran scored on a direct kick to give Hopkins a 3-0 lead.

Adam Hack (Staten Island, NY/Curtis) scored off a feed from Brienza 1:52 later, and Greg Mangels (Glenside, PA/Cheltenham) finished the explosion with a goal off of Morrison's second assist.
