BALTIMORE, MD -- On Friday, October 19th at Greystone Golf Club in White Hall, MD the Johns Hopkins University Men's Lacrosse program will be hosting the annual Matt Stoffel Memorial Golf Outing. There are numerous ways to participate in the event. The opportunities include sponsoring a foursome for the event, purchasing a tee sign, attending the post event dinner or submitting an early, silent bid to the post event auction. All proceeds are to assist in the creation of the Matt "Stoff" Stoffel Scholarship Fund at Johns Hopkins University.

Stoff played in 18 games as a reserve defenseman for the Blue Jays from 2001-2004. He was a member of three teams that advanced to the Final Four and one team that played in the NCAA Championship game. A graduate of nearby Mt. St. Joseph High School, Stoff earned a degree from the Zanvyl Krieger School of Arts & Science in Economics in 2004. In December 2005, Matt tragically lost his life in a one-car accident. The fund is being established in order to help maintain Matt's legacy.

Opportunities to participate include:
• $1,000 for a foursome
• $250 for a single player
• $150 for a tee sign
• $100 to attend the post event dinner only

In addition, off-site silent bids will be accepted and honored for the following items. Some of the items to be auctioned include:

• 2006 Master's Pin Flag signed by Phil Mickelson
• Authentic baseball bat signed by Baltimore Oriole's second baseman Brian Roberts
• 2 separate authentic team-autographed NCAA Championship weekend game helmets from the Blue Jays' 2007 NCAA National Championship team.
• Autographed 8x10 picture of Baltimore Oriole's pitcher, Eric Bedard
• Autographed baseball from Baltimore Oriole's third baseman, Melvin Mora.
• Putter donated by STX
• Other items expected to be included in the auction will be memorabilia from the New England Patriots, the Cincinnati Bengals and the Baltimore Ravens.

To register, to place a silent bid, or for more information contact the Blue Jays Unlimited Office at 410-516-6136 or at bju.jhu.edu.
