Men's Lacrosse to Host Stoffel Golf Outing on October 19

BALTIMORE, MD -- On Friday, October 19th at Greystone Golf Club in White Hall, MD the Johns Hopkins University Men's Lacrosse program will be hosting the annual Matt Stoffel Memorial Golf Outing. There are numerous ways to participate in the event. The opportunities include sponsoring a foursome for the event, purchasing a tee sign, attending the post event dinner or submitting an early, silent bid to the post event auction. All proceeds are to assist in the creation of the Matt "Stoff" Stoffel Scholarship Fund at Johns Hopkins University.
Stoff played in 18 games as a reserve defenseman for the Blue Jays from 2001-2004. He was a member of three teams that advanced to the Final Four and one team that played in the NCAA Championship game. A graduate of nearby Mt. St. Joseph High School, Stoff earned a degree from the Zanvyl Krieger School of Arts & Science in Economics in 2004. In December 2005, Matt tragically lost his life in a one-car accident. The fund is being established in order to help maintain Matt's legacy.
