BOSTON, MA - Four members of the 2008 national-runner up Johns Hopkins men's lacrosse team were selected in the 2008 National Lacrosse League (NLL) Entry Draft at the RD Banknorth Garden. Paul Rabil, Kevin Huntley, Stephen Peyser and Matt Bocklet were among the first 25 players selected in the six-round, 76-player draft.

Rabil was the number two overall pick by the San Jose Stealth. Rabil was the top overall selection in the 2008 MLL draft and totaled 24 goals and seven assists in his rookie campaign for the Boston Barrage. An MLL All-Star, he was a three-time First Team USILA All-American and the 2007 recipient of the McLaughlin Award as the nation's top midfielder. He finished his career at Johns Hopkins with a career-high six goals in the 2008 NCAA Championship game against Syracuse and ended the 2008 season with 36 goals and 14 assists for 50 points. He totaled 111 goals and 67 assists in his career and ranks as JHU's all-time career leader in goals and points (178) among midfielders. He also holds Hopkins' records for goals (28), assists (23) and points (51) in the NCAA Tournament. Rabil was also a two-time ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American.

Huntley was drafted fifth overall by the San Jose Stealth and is coming off a rookie season in the MLL that landed him Rookie of the Year honors. He set an MLL rookie record with 30 goals and added five assists for 35 points. A Third Team USILA All-America in 2008, Huntley totaled career highs of 34 goals and 43 points as a senior and finished his career ranked eighth in school history with 109 career goals. He also earned Third Team USILA All-America honors in 2006 and also ended his career at Johns Hopkins ranked second in school history with 26 career goals scored in the NCAA Tournament.

The New York Titans selected Stephen Peyser with the 23rd pick in the draft (10th pick in the second round). Peyser was previously drafted by the New Jersey Pride of the MLL and enjoyed a solid rookie campaign as he scored 19 goals and added a pair of assists in nine games. He also won 19-of-39 faceoffs and grabbed 26 ground balls for the Pride. Peyser earned Second Team USILA All-America honors as a senior at Johns Hopkins, when he netted career-highs in goals (19) and points (29). He also won 103-of-242 (.574) faceoffs and led the team with 113 ground balls. He ended his career with 49 goals and 23 assists for 72 points, while winning 285-of-500 (.570) faceoffs with 235 ground balls.

Bocklet was selected by the Philadelphia Wings with the 25th pick (12th pick in the second round). Bocklet scored one goal and grabbed 48 ground balls for the Washington Bayhawks as rookie defenseman in the MLL this summer. A Third Team USILA All-America as a senior, Bocklet anchored a Johns Hopkins defense that allowed just 8.23 goals per game and held 12 of 17 opponents to nine goals or less in 2008.
