BALTIMORE, MD - Four former Johns Hopkins men's lacrosse standouts are among 40 players who were named to the 40-man training squad for Team USA as the United States prepares for the 2010 FIL World Championships in Manchester, England. The 40 players were selected from a pool of 84 candidates who were initially invited to try out for the team a Bryant College in Rhode Island. The 40-man training team will be trimmed to the FIL-mandated 23 later this year after three training weekends in the fall.

A trio of midfielders - Kyle Harrison, Paul Rabil and Stephen Peyser - are joined by defenseman Shawn Nadelen as former Blue Jays who made it through the first round of cuts. Harrison was a member of Team USA in 2006 when the the Americans finished second at the World Championships.

Kyle Harrison `05 - Midfield
• 2005 Tewaaraton Trophy
• 2005 Enners Award (National Player of the Year)
• 2004 & 2005 McLaughlin Award (National Midfielder of the Year)
• 2004 & 2005 First Team USILA All-American
• 2003 Second Team USILA All-American
• Member of 2005 National Championship Team
• Currently a member of the Denver Outlaws of the MLL

Shawn Nadelen '01 - Defense
• 2001 Second Team USILA All-American
• In ninth season playing in the MLL for the Washington Bayhawks
• Has played eight seasons in the NLL
• Currently the defensive coordinator at Towson University

Stephen Peyser '08 - Midfield
• 2008 Second Team USILA All-American
• 2007 Third Team USILA All-American
• Member of 2005 & 2007 National Championship Teams
• Currently a member of the Long Island Lizards of the MLL

Paul Rabil '08 - Midfield
• 2006, 2007 & 2008 First Team USILA All-American
• 2005 Third Team USILA All-American
• 2007 McLaughlin Award (National Midfielder of the Year)
• Member of 2005 & 2007 National Championship Teams
• Currently a member of the Boston Cannons of the MLL
