Four Former Blue Jays Named to USA Men's Lacrosse Training Team

BALTIMORE, MD - Four former Johns Hopkins men's lacrosse standouts are among 40 players who were named to the 40-man training squad for Team USA as the United States prepares for the 2010 FIL World Championships in Manchester, England. The 40 players were selected from a pool of 84 candidates who were initially invited to try out for the team a Bryant College in Rhode Island. The 40-man training team will be trimmed to the FIL-mandated 23 later this year after three training weekends in the fall.
A trio of midfielders - Kyle Harrison, Paul Rabil and Stephen Peyser - are joined by defenseman Shawn Nadelen as former Blue Jays who made it through the first round of cuts. Harrison was a member of Team USA in 2006 when the the Americans finished second at the World Championships.
