Game Time For Johns Hopkins-Delaware NCAA Semifinal Set For Noon
May 20, 2007 BALTIMORE, MD -- The third-seeded Johns Hopkins men's lacrosse team will play the University of Delaware in the 2007 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Semifinals on Saturday, May 26 at Baltimore's M&T Bank Stadium. The JHU-Delaware game will be the first semifinal game and will start at noon. Top-seeded Duke and fourth-seeded Cornell will meet in the other semifinal with faceoff tentatively scheduled for 2:30 pm.
Johns Hopkins will receive a limited number of tickets for championship weekend. Ticket availability will be determined by noon on Tuesday. Please check back to HopkinsSports.com on Monday, May 21 for an update about ticket sales at Hopkins. Fans are encouraged to call the Baltimore Ravens ticket office at 410/261-RAVE to ensure themselves tickets as the number of tickets Johns Hopkins receives is not likely to be enough to fulfill all requests.
Johns Hopkins and Delaware will be meeting for the sixth time in a series that dates to a 19-6 Johns Hopkins win in 1980. The teams last met in the 1984 NCAA Quarterfinals when the Blue Jays prevailed 10-3. That meeting represents the only meeting between the two teams in the NCAA Tournament.
Both NCAA Semifinal games will be broadcast live on ESPN2 with Monday's (May 28) NCAA Championship game slated for a 1 pm start on ESPN. - 30 -
