BALTIMORE, MD – The Johns Hopkins men’s lacrosse team is ranked sixth in this week’s USILA Coaches Poll and seventh in the Maverick Media Poll it was announced today. The Blue Jays earned 246 points in the coaches poll and 455 in the media poll. Notre Dame is ranked number one in each poll with Maryland and Penn State rounding out the top three.

Johns Hopkins is currently 4-1 on the season after suffering its first loss at Princeton last Friday (March 3). The Blue Jays were ranked third in both polls last week and have been ranked in the top 10 throughout the season.

The Blue Jays will hit the road for the third consecutive game this week as they will make the short trip up Charles St. to take on Towson (3-1). The Tigers are ranked 17th in the coaches poll and 16th in the media poll this week. Hopkins’ four remaining games in the month of March are against teams with a current combined record of 18-4.

For historical purposes, the Johns Hopkins Athletic Communications office uses the USILA Poll to represent the team’s official national ranking at the time of a game.
